Storage. For the Purees and kiwifruit juice the recommended storage temperature is -18 deg C or below. Storage life is more than 12 months. The kiwifruit juice concentrate once reconstituted into a drink should be consumed within 3 days.
Packaging. The Purees and kiwifruit juice product are presented in bulk 20 kg polylined cartons, taped closed and branded.
Potential products from AKAD kiwifruit juice include frozen juice consumer packs, refrigerated ready to serve packs, refrigerated drink dispenser packs, ice sticks, ice-cream and yoghurt flavourings.
As a drink, the kiwifruit juice concentrate may be thawed by dilution with water (2 parts water to 1 part frozen kiwifruit juice concentrate) to produce a ready chilled drink. On reconstitution the fine kiwifruit particles are evenly dispersed and suspended in the drink resulting in a natural appearance which is unmistakeably Kiwifruit.
As an ice bar or ice stick, the kiwifruit juice concentrate may be thawed by dilution with water in a 1:1 ratio, followed immediately by moulding, freezing and packaging to produce a unique ice confectionary.
As a flavouring for ice-cream of yoghurt, the kiwifruit juice concentrate may be used undiluted.
